Some Facts About JNRU...
The Jennings Northwest Regional Utilities (JNRU) is a publicly owned regional sewer district (RSD) serving the Country Squire Lakes community and the northwest quarter of Jennings County. JNRU also owns and operates the water utility serving customers within the Country Squire Lakes community. JNRU is governed by the environmental laws of the State and a seven-member board of trustees. The board of trustees serves on a voluntary basis and each board member is appointed by the Jennings County Commissioners to staggered four-year terms. JNRU was created in 1997 by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) at the request of the Jennings County Commissioners. At that time, the initial JNRU board purchased CSL Utilities, Inc. assets for use as their base of operations with their guiding purpose focusing on solving sanitation problems in the northwest quarter of Jennings County.
Some Facts About Our Website...
The JNRU website is designed with the intent to provide an array of up to date information that is useful to our customers. This site is a quick reference to many facts about the utility and it is our goal to constantly add current and historical information that may be of interest to our customers. While this website contains a wealth of valuable information, searching the site is no substitute for regularly attending a monthly board meeting. Board meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at the Country Squire Lakes Community Building at 7:00PM. Monthly meetings frequently have single-digit audience attendance and the board would welcome increased customer attendance and participation. We, at JNRU, hope that viewers find the JNRU site helpful and welcome your comments and concerns. This site will continue to evolve, so check in frequently for the most up to date information.
